**The key differences between the two cord options is the 14AWG cord allows you to run longer lengths, and it has a bit heavier duty wiring (one extra weather-resistant layer). The benefit to the 16AWG cord is it's robust enough for commercial and outdoor use, but light enough for easy installation (about 1/2 the weight of the 14AWG wire). Both cords provide heavy-duty construction and weather resistant-sockets.

High quality PVC sockets form a snug, weather‐resistant seal around the bulb. You must keep a bulb in every socket to maintain weatherproof quality.
The 48 ft cord (14AWG) is cTUVus Listed to UL standard UL588 for wet location all-year use. Cord safety rating is void if product is cut.
For IP64 rating (14AWG cords), interconnected strings must be properly sealed and strain relief protected with electrical tape at each connection point.
Keep bulbs/sockets at least 16 feet away from pools and spas.
Assembly required. Bulbs will need to be screwed in. Install with bulbs facing downward.
For spans longer than 20 feet (14AWG cord) or 25 feet (16AWG), use a steel cable guide wire.
Socket has two mounting ears built into each side of the base. For long-term reliability and easier installation, we suggest using zip ties on each side of the socket. Read more about How to Hang Outdoor String Lights.

100 ft and 330 ft Cord Installation Instructions
Large string light installations demand a bulk reel for easy jobsite installations. With these bulk spools of commercial grade light strings, you get 330 evenly spaced sockets, giving you 330 feet of continuous lighted length. Cut the string at any point between the sockets to get just the right length for your installation. This bulk spool consists of E12 Candelabra base sockets spaced 12 inches apart. Bulbs not included.
